Audrey has been loving her gymnastics class.  It brings back lots of memories from when I was growing up doing gymnastics, like calloused hands and chalky feet.

Being A Bride

I got to be in bridal fashion show, and I loved every second.  I love weddings, and it was so fun to be able to wear a wedding gown after 11 years of marriage.  Getting fitted, getting all glammed up, and then the show...so fun!

Audrey did a cheerleading clinic with some friends, and then they performed at a high school football half time. It was rainy and cold and the start time kept getting pushed back due to the weather.  It was a fun, late night!

Soccer Player

Last time we put Joshua in soccer (a year and a half ago) all he wanted to do was run off the field or eat the snacks.  Much better this time around.  He actually wants to kick the ball.  But his sweet little heart tends to get in the way sometimes.  When someone falls down, Joshua will stop what he is doing and help them up.  Drives his Dad a little bit crazy, and makes his Mom so, so proud.
 

 

 

 

August's Instagrams

Nail in the tire. Completely flat.  Thank goodness for air conditioning, AAA and good friends who saved the day!

Off to nursery! Great Sunday, Audrey and Joshua both bore their testimony (Joshua is grateful for his body and family. Oh, and Jesus).  And then Dave and I got to sit quietly in Sunday school.  Great day. 

Getting the oil changed. And a little tour for the kiddos. First time getting an oil change wasn't a nightmare! 

I am so grateful for this summer storm. Especially since we had a stake wide fast for rain on Sunday.  And it was extra exciting when the power went out. #feelingveryblessed
(We had been at the pool when the storm rolled in.  The power went out the minute after I pulled into the garage. Feeling extra blessed.)

Dave took the kids swimming.  Told me to go shopping, by myself, for myself. #imarriedup

Saturday morning at the Science Museum.

I am so proud of my parents and sister for doing a century ride today! 110 miles! Wish I was there so I could have done it too.  Jk. But I would have loved to cheer for them as they crossed the finish line!

Thank goodness for carpool. Two kids at different schools makes for a lot of time driving back and forth.

My awesome/crazy sister decided to run 34 miles for her 34th birthday. She is my hero/certifiably insane.

Milestones.  Audrey's first day of second grade.  Joshua's first day of pre K.  Austin's first day of missing his brother and sister while they are gone all day.

 

He was so tired after his first day that he took a nap.  And drooled.

Last day of summer. Hanging up the swimming suits and pulling out the backpacks.  Trading in lazy afternoons for homework and soccer practice.  It is so bitter sweet.

Meet The Teacher

Joshua went to one month of preschool in Texas before we moved, and I never put him back in.  He has been my little buddy, my sidekick, for four years and I felt sick thinking about him being gone at pre K.  Luckily it is only 1/2 day.  I sure love this little guy.

After meet the teacher we headed straight to the water park for one last day of summer. 

That night we had preK orientation. And of course we needed an ice cream cone after. 

 

Back To Work for Audrey Girl

While living in Colorado, Audrey's teacher asked what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Audrey said she wanted to be a dolphin trainer or a "modeler".  I submitted her picture to an agency, and even though the don't usually represent kids, they were happy to represent Audrey and Joshua (Austin, not so much...too young, and doesn't listen to direction. At all). 

Audrey got booked for a Hobby Lobby job.  She hasn't modeled since San Francisco, and she loved being in front of the camera again. 

 

Her face will be on the packaging for these mustaches Hobby Lobby will be selling.  Watch for them coming out on January 1, 2013!

 

 

 

Memor was able to come to the shoot with us, adding to the fun!
