*I wrote this post in early August, and never posted it. So clearly I am not mostly caught up anymore.
I have made my blog posts from 2007 and 2008 into books, and lately Audrey has been reading those books and loving it. I love it that I am mostly caught up (except for Thailand) so I can start working on the 2009 book (maybe once school starts).
Austin is now sleeping in Audrey's bed, sharing a room with Joshua. I feel like this summer has been a summer of growing up, for all my kids, and it pulls on my heartstrings.

July 5. We went out to dinner for my birthday and Joshua and Audrey feel asleep in the 15 minute car ride. They had lots of fun on the 4th of July!
No birthday is complete without a free dessert from a restaurant.
This sweet boy has zerrrrrro desire to be potty trained. But the time has come.

They each wanted a book at SAMs, and being the nice mom that I am, I said yes.
He sat and read that book for 15 minutes while I was in line. How could I say no?

Audrey and Joshua went to a birthday party, and Austin wanted to walk home with Dave with a slushie, like he did with D. I love that boy, and I'm so glad Dave agreed to do it with him.

My friend Amber put on a really fun, three day, Amazing Race. I was able to chaperone Audrey and Joshua's (and Austin's) team. We had a great time, and learned so much along the way!
Day 1.
China. The Chinese invented toilet paper and ice cream!

Ireland. Potatoes have been the staple food of Ireland, so the kids had to feed each other french fries while closing their eyes.
Sweden. Home to the Vikings! Make a ship and float it across the pool.
After the fun Amazing Race, all these sweet kids came to play. I love having my home full of kids, and I hope that as my kids get older, they will continue to want to have their friends over.
My sweet friend's baby passed away so Audrey and I headed out of town for the funeral. A day I will never forget. We were able to celebrate sweet Caleb's life and the seven months he spent here on Earth. Families are forever.
We drove by our old home. So many great memories there.
We drove home and Ryan had made dinner for us. He took this picture of me and wanted me to post it to IG. Which I did. No pride. Look what I gots? #guacaflakeburgs Thanks for the best burger, ever.

Our typical Friday night usually consists of pizza at the pool. Since today was 64 degrees (woot woot!) we had pizza at the skate park. It was our first time going and we are big fans (the kids want to go back tomorrow at 6 am). We we pulled up a boy asked Joshua if he was going to "drop it in". Joshua told him he had no idea what he meant. By the end of the night, Joshua was yelling, "Hey, Mom! Watch me drop it in!" And Austin thinks he is an American Ninja Warrior.

I grew up having peaches, cream and corn flakes. I introduced it to my kids, and they are hooked. Especially on the cream.
My sweet neighbor did a science camp for Audrey, and she invited the boys and me to come down for soda rockets one day. It was so fun, and clearly the kids loved it.
The cutest little swim meet you ever did see. Joshua and McKay were supposed to do the IM relay, McKay going first doing butterfly, and Joshua going third doing backstroke. Joshua was a little confused so when they said, "Ready, Set, Go!", he went. With McKay. The announcer was saying, "Stop! Stop! Oh well, we can try again later…" It was so cute.

Post swim meet slushy. I can't remember if I wrote about this swing. My inlaws gave it to us for our birthdays this year, and we love it so much. I often find the kids sitting on it.
We switched rooms for Audrey and Austin. So now Audrey has her own, and the boys share. It was quite the process.
Girls night to watch The Bachelor Finale. So fun.

Jess and I were working out and we got this text from Audrey (we leave her with one of our phones while she watches Kensie at the gym).
So we texted this back to her. She replied, "Wow, I didn't know you two could make faces like that."
