I love to dance. Nightclubs, weddings, in a church gym, on stage, anywhere, any kind of dance. I have not taken a dance class since before I got married, roughly about six years ago. I have all these "someday" dreams...someday I will take a flower arranging class, someday I will run a marathon, someday I will take a photography class, someday I will scrapbook (however, I am slowing giving up on that one), someday I will take a dance class again. Unfortunately, time does not stand still, and I knew I had to get going if my "someday" list was ever going to get any shorter. I overheard my very organized sister say, "I love crossing things off my to-do list." Well, I decided I was going to start crossing off things off my "someday" list, and actually do them. My dance class has changed lists. Dance class is now officially on my "Did it and LOVED it, can't wait to do it again, I was so sore I couldn't walk for four days, why didn't I do this sooner" list. I am taking an adult jazz class and absolutely love it. We are a group of adults who basically just love to dance. We are not fabulous, we do not always point our toes, our kicks are not as high as they used to be, but we leave the class feeling a sense of accomplishment, a little more empowered, and like we can sleep better that night knowing we accomplished something on our "someday" list. Why not make "someday" today?

Someday...

M, you sound just like me. I love to dance and wished I had more time to take a class...actually I've been thinking about trying to teach maybe a class or two a week. But I just need to get out there and figure it out. The most dancing I get is performing for my kids in the kitchen to U2 and Billy Joel. The kids just laugh at me, but I'm seriously having a great time. Maybe they know something I don't :) Keep up with the dancing! I'm jealous!
I am so glad you take the class. I see how happy it makes you- and i am happy for you. I will have to come and watch you one day! You will feel like a star! :)
M, How fun!! I am so glad that you are able to take a class...it is totally empowering isn't it? I remember that ballet class we took together before we even knew we would someday be "cousins"! We'll have to come and watch you in June! Luvyas!
I have hereby suspended all other items from my someday list until I accomplish this one: "sleep through the night again." Sadly, this is not up to me.
Good for you michelle. I need to do something like that! Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this post. I have a huge someday list, and this was a good reminder to keep working at my list.
I didn't know you took a dance class--how fun! Who is your 'very-organized sister'? I'm guessing it's Melissa. How did you take the picture of your feet?
