June 2013

I am going to try to catch up.  My goal before my kids get out of school (two months!) is to be all caught up on my blog.  I feel like if I type it, it is more likely to happen.
June 2013, in a glorious nutshell I call Instagram (and some non IG's as well).

One of the many joys of having Grandma here...taking the older kids to a movie while Austie stays home and smashes bugs. And he was bathed and put to bed before we got home. Win win situation.

Come back! The only bad thing about my parents coming to visit is going through withdrawal after they leave. #austinloveshimenoughtosharehisbinki #helovesherwaymorethanhelovesme #iwouldnthaveitanyotherway
(My sweet parents came to visit and it was their first time in our new house)
Audrey for Hobby Lobby, shooting her first love, hair "pretties". I have so many memories of my San Francisco and Texas days of making pretties for her hair. It made me nostalgic to see her wearing them again. #mydaysofmakingcutethingsareover

Such a fun night doing fundraiser show to raise money for a company that empowers woman and children.

Out to dinner to celebrate these two smarty pants.  While he was doing his oral surgery residency, she got her masters degree while pregnant with her fourth child.  He graduates next week, and the best part (for me) is that they are staying here! Congrats you two on finishing this long journey!

This sweet ad came out for Hobby Lobby.  This is where she very first met Hayden, and these two girls are sweet little friends.

There's a whole lotta love going on around here today. Father's Day AND Dave's birthday.  Not a day going by that I don't thank my lucky stars that is my partner in crime in this crazy game called parenthood. We are so, so, so blessed to have him.
(it was on a Sunday, so we went to Church and then I made Monte Cristos for dinner.)

Summetime work books.  Cause I'm a mean mom like that. #havetodoanhourbeforetheycanwatchtv #somedaystheydontdotheirworkbooksbuttheydontwatchtveither #itstheteacherinme

Family golf afternoon. What's more fun? Driving the cart, or actually golfing? #fore! #orisitfour? #mydadwouldbesodissapointed #myfirsttimegolfingsinceiwasten #itsharderthanitlookspeople #audreyisnotaverygoodcartdriver #shemaynevergetherlicense #ilovethesepeople

June 21: the first official day of summer! To celebrate, we flipped, we jumped and at snow cones until 10 pm. #itwassofunbutiwillpaytomorrow #itwasworthit #summermemories

Just a little Sunday evening guitar playing. #austinwastheircaptiveaudiencefor20wholeseconds #shewantstobetaylorswift
Summer fun (a video of all of them jumping in the pool)

Joshua reading a chapter book. #theonlyproblemisthathedoesntknowhowtoread # hereadthisbookforoveranhour #wheniaskedhimwhatthebookwasaboutheshruggedhisshoulders

We have a "Lego workshop. Come and get your Legos fixed" sign in our front yard. My little Lego man can fix all your Lego problems. #speechimpedimentmeltsmyheart #hewasnervousforhis"commercial" #allthissweetboysidea
(He made a video saying, "Hi, my name is Joshua David. My phone number is... Call me to get your Legos fixed. Period. Bye."

A blackberry picking kind of Saturday. #toobadidontreallylikeblackberries #withenoughsugaranythingcanbegood

If I had a penny for every time I heard "hiyah" tonight...

Best present every. (Cutest video of Austin singing Happy Birthday to me)

On my birthday we went swimming at Rachel's house, with all these kids and their fabulous moms.

For my birthday, we got a new car which we named "Trey", because I got her/him (gender still undecided) for my 33rd birthday.

Goodbye Francy.  You have been so good to us. We bought Francy when Joshua was five days old in San Francisco, hence the name Francy.  Francy was getting old and had lots of problems.  We decided to cut our loses and get something else.

Cook it in front of you place (can't remember the name right now) for birthday dinner. Austin wasn't so sure about the fire flames, but the older kids loved it.

My birthday cake.  I love my birthday.
