We're so glad when Daddy comes home...

glad as we can be!
Daddy Dave is such a good magic carpet ride giver,

tent builder,

and even if Audrey looks like this from a fun day at the park,

he still loves to snuggle her. We are lucky to have him around.

Shake it...

Dance party. 11:00 am. Audrey shakin her booty. Life is good.

Joshua feel asleep on my shoulder at the park today. I laid back on the slide and let him sleep on my chest. I could feel his little body moving as he breathed. I watched the fog roll out, then back in, showing bits of blue sky every now and then. I could hear Audrey laughing with her friends. I could hear some of my dearest friends who were sitting next to me talking. All was perfect in my own little world. How am I going to leave this place?

8 months

At eight months Joshua:
*is very wiggly (hence the terrible picture. It was impossible to get a good picture of him this month)
* does not crawl yet (and I am NOT complaining)
* has four teeth (two top, two bottom)
* loves black beans, avocado, wheat bread...anything he can put in his mouth by himself
* babbles, "da, da, da" and is working on "ma ma ma"...heavenly
* went through a spell of waking up two, sometimes three times a night. AHHHH! For the last three nights he has been an angel though. Thank the heavens.
* gets kissed 10,000 times a day by his mommy and especially his big sister

Audrey at eight months:

Audrey at 3 years, 3 months
At this age, Audrey:
*says "gong" for "gone". "It's all gong Mom." I love it.
* she "promises" everything. When I tell her she needs to wear a coat outside because it is cold, she says, "No, I won't get cold, I promise."
* She can match her upper case letters with the lower case letters.
* We do preschool a few days a week, but she likes to call it high school. "Can we do high school mom?"
* She hates it when my hair is in a pony tail (which it is 99% of the time). She always says, "Take it out!! Take your pony out! I like it down."
* We were cuddling one day and her head was buried in my neck and she said, "It's dark in here."
* We were talking to some friends through our window and one of them said they would feel guiltly about something and Audrey asked, "Hey Linden, why you feel creepy?"
* She says "wool" for "will". I say, "Audrey, please listen to your mom," and she says, "Mom, I wool!"
* We were dropping off Addi, Max and Jack and as we were driving away Audrey looked at them through her window and said, "And they lived happily ever after."

Thanksgiving

Thank you Canadian friends for letting us come celebrate your Thanksgiving with you, again. We love you and are so thankful for your friendship.

Halloween Part 3- A little excessive, I know...

Our ward party was on Saturday November 1st. I'm really glad the party was the night after Halloween. As exhausting as it was, it was so much fun to spread the craziness/sugar-highness of Halloween as long as possible.

Happy Halloween from your lovely tooth fairy, tooth, toothpaste and toothbrush. Don't forget to floss! (That can be our next child!)
Audrey looks very serious, and poor Joshua looks terrified.

We spent the majority of the ward party downstairs. "Scary" music was playing in the gym and Audrey didn't like the sound of the monsters. She kept running out of the gym with her hands covering her ears. I even tried to show her that the noises were coming from the stereo, but she still thought the monsters were going to come out and get her.

On Sunday, Nov 2nd we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. Audrey took one look inside, declared it as "gross" and that was the end of that. Maybe next year.

Halloween Part 2-Actual Halloween

Halloween lasts a few days around here, hence all the different posts. On Friday, October 31st, my little tooth fairy, tooth, and I went with Regan and her half angel/half devil child to Chestnut St to meet up with more friends to trick or treat. We then went to Dave's school and had lunch there. That night we went trick or treating in Sea Cliff. We have lived here for six Halloweens and that was the first time we had done this. We had so much fun and would highly recommend it to any other San Franciscan.

Halloween- Part 1-The day before actual Halloween

Thank you Jocelyn, and Gymboree, for letting us come participate in your Halloween festivities. Remember last year? I wish we could do this every year.

Pumpkin Patches (as in plural)

I am only now getting around to blogging about our Halloweeny time. It started on October 13th when some mommies took our little ones to a great pumpkin patch up north. It was approximately 90 degrees (which felt like 120 degrees) so it didn't feel very "fally" but it was very fun nonetheless.

Then on October 25th we went with some friends to the pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay. It was a fabulous pumpkin patch and Audrey and her friends had a great time riding the pony, the train, the hay ride and getting witches painted on their arms.

The last time Audrey was at this same pumpkin patch was when she was 11 months old and did her first modeling job for Shutterfly.
