What the hail?

Dave called on his way to school and was so excited telling me it had "snowed in San Francisco". We heard the crazy storm the night before (it actually woke me up) but I never would have guessed it had snowed. I hurried and threw the kids in the car before this precious snow melted so they could experience first hand this miracle. While it was actually hail, it looked, and felt like snow. I feel as though I have now seen everything...

Dave must have called four times on our way to the "snow" to see if we were there yet. He was already in class, but was so excited for Audrey to see it so she called Dave once we got there. Yes, she is wearing footed pajamers, boots and her jacket. We had to hurry out of the house. No time to get dressed when it snows in San Francisco!

Joshua's first hand experience with the snow. It was so slippery I didn't trust myself to hold him while standing on it. This is proof that he really was there.

Dear Santa,

Watching old 30 Rock episodes with my husband while cuddling our sleeping baby, knowing that Audrey is tucked nice and cozy in her own bed, with the lights of our Christmas tree lighting up our tiny little family room, is all I want for Christmas.

A Night in Bethlehem

Dave and I are the activities co-chairs for our ward. For the Christmas party we wanted to do something a little different, so we did a Night in Bethlehem theme. We had a great committee that helped a ton. It was a fabulous night.

The stage. Dave and his dad built the manger and all the booths(thanks for all your help Bruce!).

Jamie Cook was in charge of the food and she did an excellent job. We had pita bread and hummus at the bakery,

grapes and salad at the garden,

meatballs and tzatziki sauce at the meat booth,

and rotisserie chicken at the butcher booth. Yummy.

The decorations

We had a little program and at the end we had a couple in our ward and their brand new baby boy be Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. Regan, Joel, Mindi and Dave sang "The First Noel" while the piano and two violins accompanied them - to the tune of Canon in D. It was amazing.

Merry Christmas, Bethlehem style.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Projects everywhere, homemade candy all over the place, and two cute little elves helping with the decorating...it's Christmas time!

Best Friends

From the very beginning, Audrey has loved her little brother. May their special bond always be so strong. These two are lucky to have each other, and I think they know it.

Ballet Recital

It was the last day of ballet last week, so Miss (I guess it's really Mrs.) Malerie let the mommies, grandmas and aunts come watch our cute little ballerinas strut their stuff. Audrey had quite a fan base and she felt very loved. I loved watching little Audrey dance around the room. For some reason she was tired that day (hence the yawn) and I must say her skills have improved. No more "dog going potty on a fire hydrant" look

Such hard work!

A curtsy at the end of class.

Celebrate

A few weeks ago, we had a special day for Dave. We were so proud of him for getting into endo school so we made him his favorite cookies,

I took him to our favorite Japanese restaurant Umami (thank you Aunt Rachel for babysitting)

and had a great time hanging out as a little family. I am so glad that stress of getting into school is over...
