11 months
Joshua at 11 months:
*crawls everywhere
*says, "mama", "dada" and "aaaaaeeeeee" (we think he is saying Audrey)
*loves balloons and balls
*is a social bug. He waves and says, "hhhaaaaa" (hi) and then turns and waves again as people walk by
*gives the best kisses
*pulls himself to standing
*could play in the dishwasher all day if I let him
*loves to look at books
*has discovered his little voice and loves to scream. Makes for a great time at church
*can do the signs for "more" (claps his hands) and "please" (rubs his chest with both hands)
* When you ask him what a lion says, he growls at you
Audrey, 3 1/2
*still loves princesses
*loves her brother. She says to me at least once a day, "I love my brofer so much."
*loves watching American Idol with her mama
*is a social bug as well. She always wants to know who I am talking to, what's happening, and why, why, why?
Audrey at 11 months
Audrey was 11 months when Dave started dental school. It is crazy to think that now our second child is that old and we are almost done.
Dave's first day of school.
The first time we went to visit Dave at school.
At 11 months Audrey did her first print modeling job. It was for Shutterfly.

Dear Joshua,
There will come a time, and it will be much sooner than I would like, when you won't want me to snuggle and hold you anymore. So even though I am so tired that I can't see straight, I will cherish this moment when all you want is for your mom to hold you, rock you, and snuggle you.

Happy Birthday Fafa
For Fafa's birthday this year, we celebrated by going to the new Academy of Science here in San Francisco. It was a great day of looking at huge fish, watching cool movies (the bug 3D movie was especially cool-Audrey kept asking, "Are they going to get us?" To which I would answer, "No, it's just a movie." Audrey would then turn to cousin Nathan and reassure him that it was, "just a movie"), eating hoho's on the roof, and being together as family. Thanks for a great day! Happy birthday Bruce.

Family
My entire family came to town last weekend to celebrate Andrew and Carrie's engagement. We had a great time hanging out, eating, and doing fun things like...
getting our eyebrows threaded (fun, and painful),
renting bikes and riding around San Francisco (Dave had an endo conference so he couldn't make it. Props to my dad, Andrew and Ben for pulling my kids up some steep hills!),
taking naps, (I love how his hand is on her leg)
cooking a yummy Superbowl dinner (I made all these aprons for my mom and sisters. The goal was to get them done by Christmas, but end of January it is!),
snuggling babies,
and taking family picture. Thanks mom and dad for a great weekend!

Celebrating babies
Congratulations Caitlin and Rocia. These little ones are lucky to have you.

He's engaged!
My one and only brother is engaged, and he (and we) couldn't be more happy. He has five sisters and somehow he has found a girl to marry that every one of us love. Welcome to our family, Carrie.

Laugh or cry
This was the 9,234,633,274 mess I cleaned today, and it was only about 8:30 am. At times like this, I could either laugh or cry. I think I did a little of both.

Sunbeam
Sunbeam: a ray of sunlight
Audrey: our very own ray of sunlight, in every way.
Welcome to Primary, Audrey. I was one of "those moms" who dropped of their child on the first day of Primary, who wanted to cry, but somehow held it together, and then went straight to the back of the room to silently spy on my offspring. She sat still, volunteered to help during music time, and at one point turned around and saw me. I thought she was going to freak out and want to come sit by me, but instead she waved her fingers at me and blew me a kiss. I left after that and ran back as soon as church was over to pick her up. The primary doors were still closed, but I smashed my face up to the crack just in time to watch Audrey give the closing prayer in front of everyone. That was the first thing she said to, "Mom! I got to talk in the microwave!" (microphone)
I love you, my little sunbeam.
