Pickle juice. Nothing like it for a mid afternoon snack.
Followed by sunflower seeds...off the floor. Yummy.

Mid Week Break
In October, Audrey had a day off of school during the middle of the week. It was so fun. I wish every week was that way! I told her we could anything she wanted to that day, and she wanted to get sandwiches, and then go the "pumpkin place". And so we did.
Compliments of Audrey
Joshua loved that he could see himself in my sunglasses.

Fall Festivities
Friends. Fall. Pumpkins. Great day.

Joshua's future wife.
Joshua's skin looks like an oompa loompa, but I love the expression on his face.

Conference Weekend
Sweet little kids and a fun girls night during Priesthood,
lots of good yummy food,
with great speakers, and being spiritually uplifted, make it a perfect Conference Weekend.

The Big Ultrasound
Boy or girl? We were really good about not peeking. It was tempting for about two seconds, but we would have been really sad if we found out. Not even the tech looked so it remains a secret for everyone. The baby looks healthy and sure likes to kick!

I have the same dilemma every time we do the big ultra sound...WHAT DO I WEAR??? If I wore pink, it would mean I wanted a girl, if I wore blue it meant I wanted a boy, and if I wore another color, it would mean I wasn't supporting our child. I know, I know, only I think this way and it drives Dave CRAZY! Being the good sport he is, he agreed to wear blue (99% of his scrubs are blue anyway) and I wore pink, that way whatever the gender, I felt like we were being good, supportive parents. Yikes, typing that out makes me realize how lame that sounds. Oh well. Here we are, the dorks that we are. Don't worry, we dressed this way when we found out with Audrey & Joshua too. And I have reached a whole new level of crazy since we didn't even find out the gender this time. Yikes.

Growing Up
Not quite sure how I feel about the water coloring/ipod combo. Sweet little girl meets modern technology (kinda modern. That ipod is 5 years old, which is considered ancient these days). She knows how to use the ipod better than I do. Pretty sure I haven't put any new songs on there since 2007...because I don't know how.

The look of concentration. Love it.
And then she pulls out this...
"Mom, I am a rock star". Singing and dancing to Miley Cyrus' "Dream"
And THEN, this little man comes out of the bathroom where Dave is shaving, looking like this...

Sigh.

Sunday Bike Ride and the Scary Cat
Our Sunday bike ride starts off perfectly normal...
and then Joshua sees a cat. A white, fluffy cat about 50 feet away. Or maybe it was a lion. Because for some reason he is terrified of it. He looks at the cat/lion, and then at me. Man I love this kid.
After I reassured him for the 218th time that the cat was not going to hurt him in any way, he finally believes me and says, "Hooray!"
And then we continued on our merry way.

Little Reader
Audrey's favorite thing about school is learning how to read. Audrey and I snuggled in bed one Saturday afternoon while Joshua napped and Dave was at work, and we read our books. Audrey's book: Miss Nelson...something. I can't remember the whole title. My book: I think it was maybe Catching Fire, but I can't remember that either.
She was so excited after she figured out a word she didn't know.
