Great Wolf Lodge

Our family wanted a little getaway so we headed to Great Wolf Lodge for a weekend.
The excitement was palpable.

Since it was close to Halloween, they had trick or treating.

Austin doing his "block 1"

Audrey loved catching Austin at the bottom of the baby slide.  When we asked her what her favorite part of the trip was, she said, "Catching Austin."

Then Joshua joined in. They must have done this 273,218 times.

We drove past our old home...

Did a little shopping (I love that this was on the pillar at Nordstrom)

Joshua was so tired he fell asleep on my lap during dinner.

We hung out with some old friends.

 Fun weekend!

Fashion Show

Audrey, Whitney and I were able to do a fashion show together.  It was so fun to do it with two of my favorite girls!

We got a babysitter for the boys and Dave came to watch.  And our friend Christina came too.  After, Dave, Audrey and I went out to ice cream.  It was a really fun night.

Eating Lunch With Audrey

Audrey looooooves when we come eat lunch with her.  I love spending that time with her during the day, but it gets difficult when Austin wants to be everywhere he shouldn't be.  We have compromised and we go eat with her one day a week.  I need to appreciate the fact that she wants me there with her.  There will come a day when she will be embarrassed to have me at school with her. I know, because once upon a time I was embarrassed to have my mom there (what was I thinking?!).

Someone was hungry.  Best choice? My makeup.

Getting fitted for his debut.  Ring bearer at a bridal fashion show. Seriously, can not wait.

Donuts, now this.  I might be sick.

Joshua's school was on the news announcing the forecast.  He talked for days about being on tv.  His fame and glory lasted about .6 seconds, but he sure was proud!

As I passed this sweet couple in the parking lot this morning, I told them I hope to still be holding my husband's hand like them one day. His response, "You can, just do it everyday." #wordsofwisdom

It's a beautiful day for a stroll.

We tri.  Swim. Bike. Run.

Everyone needs some Aunt Ritz! Thanks for coming to visit, and for helping at the bridal show!

Bridal Fashion Show

Audrey, Joshua and I got to do a bridal show together on Sept 30, 2012.  It was by far my favorite modeling job ever.  It was so fun to be able to do a job with both of them.  Audrey made one gorgeous flower girl, and Joshua was one handsome ring bearer.
Waiting for the day to start...

We walked down the runway to the song, "Broken Hearted" by Karmin.  When we got to end, I twirled Audrey,  and in the first show Joshua showed his "guns" and in the second show he kissed my cheek.  The audience went crazy.

They walked down the runway with me one time, and then wardrobe change (Audrey's dresses looked very similar, and a big thank you to Aunt Ritz who was visiting and came to help, and my friend Christina) and they walked down the two of them together.  Again, the crowd went wild.  It was so fun being backstage and hearing the "Ahhhhh" and then all the clapping.

Lovely little lady.

Showing his guns.

A happy and veryyyy tired flower girl and ring bearer.  Such a fun day, I will remember it forever.

On The News

I was on the news on the morning of Sept 27, 2012 to promote a bridal show.  My alarm went off at 3:45 am.  It was a fun job, but I am no used to getting up that early!

My kids watching their mom on TV.

Modeling

When I submitted Audrey and Joshua's pictures to a local modeling agency (Austin was too young) they called me back and said they don't usually take kids, but they were very interested in mine and asked me to bring them in so they could meet them.  While I was in there, they asked me if I would be interested in modeling.  I haven't been in front of the camera for years, but it was so fun, so I agreed.  I was able to do a spread for a magazine.  It was a fun morning of getting all glamed up, wearing pretty clothes, and then going home and changing diapers and making dinner.

Catching Up With Life

I sometimes feel like life is passing me by. I want to remember the little details of my life so someday my kids can look back and not just remember the big, fun trips, but the everyday routine of our life.  I am going to try to catch up quickly, so then I can just stay caught up.  Here comes the blog posts...

Baby Boy

I get sentimental on my kid's birthdays.  Well, let's be honest.  I am always sentimental, but there is something so special about remembering the day these little babes came into my life, forever changing me and everything about me, that makes me extra sentimental.  Especially when it's my baby.  Today is Austin's second birthday. Happy Birthday sweet boy.  Enjoy your nap while your mom reminisces all about you, and the day you were born.

At the age of two, Austin:
*Loves balls
*Loves trains, tractors, and all things construction.  And he calls all of them "choo choos!"
*Calls Audrey "Sissy"
*Loves his friends Riley, Cason, MikeMike, Vivi, and misses Ivy and Troy
*Makes the same guttural/throaty sound that Joshua did when he wants a drink of water "ghhghhghhghahghgh"
*Thinks he is way older than he is. Loves to jump off the fireplace, go down the big slides and attempts somersaults (it's so cute)
*If he has a dirty diaper will pat him bum and say, "Bum bum!" After I change him, he says, "All queen! (clean)"
*Loves to make us laugh
*Is such a happy boy. When Dave gave him his baby blessing, he blessed him that he would be "naturally happy".  He is.
*If I say, "I love you very, very..." he says, "Much!!" One day I was telling him that and I must have paused before saying "much" and he said it for me.
