7 Months
* sits up
* has his two bottom teeth and his top two are coming in
* loves squash, green beans, carrots, but hates peaches
* kicks his legs and flaps his arms when I open the front door to go outside
* loves, loves, loves his Daddy. Kicks, flaps, and is all grins when he sees Dave
* loves to "talk" and can do so quite loudly
* loves my cell phone
Audrey at 7 months. I love how they both look like they are going to jump off the couch.
Audrey at 3 years, 2 months.
Audrey saw Joshua wearing a onesie, so she wanted to wear one too (plus the high heels and sun glasses that are in her hand).
At this age, Audrey:
* She has stopped callling Dave, "Dad". She now calls him, "Da." ?????
* She loves to watch The Nutcracker movie, only she calls it the "Crut-Nacker"
* Is obsessed with smelling things. She won't let me use any sort of soap on her unless she smells it first (and sometimes when I'm not looking she likes to taste it. Barf.)
* Is so, so, so sweet with Joshua.
* Always says, "of course." Example: "Audrey would you like a snack?" "Of course."
Both Full

A Walk to Remember
Out of all the 20,000 people, these are my favorite.
Regan and I started training a few months ago, but we both got injured. We decided instead of running, we would walk the 13.1 miles together. We had so much fun walking through the city. We took our sweet time walking, stopping, taking pictures and enjoying our beautiful city. It was 4 hours and 1 minute of pure bliss.
Nike goes all out. This is the largest women's half and full marathon in the world (I learned that this morning before the race started). Along the route they had lots of things to keep up entertained. For example, a Gospel choir. And who said we didn't go to church today?
The Maltese Falcon even stopped by.
Gotta love the Scottish men playing the bag pipes.
Hello cheerleaders! Go team Regan and Michelle!

The best entertainment was watching Audrey and Maggie run to us to give us big hugs of encouragement.
Thank you for the sign Juli!
This will be the last time I do this half marathon as a San Francisco resident. I really do love this city. Today, I think an additional 20,000 people love this city as well.
Regan and I love to do all sorts of things together, but the thing we do best is "gab". We couldn't pass up this "Gab like a girl" sign. Nike's marathon theme is "Like a Girl".
Regan and I picked up our girls from the sidelines and carried them the last .1 mile. It was so fun to cross the finish line with Audrey. She was obsessed with the Tiffany's necklace we got at the end (she thinks it's hers, so won't let me wear it, only her). I hope someday to do this half marathon with Audrey. Until then, I want to make it a yearly tradition with anyone who is interested. Tonight when I was putting Audrey to bed she wanted me to tell her the "finish line" story one more time.
Phewww, we finished. Barely even broke a sweat, but thank heavens for the Tiffany's necklace, Jamba juice and granola!
The best cheerleaders anyone could ask for.
Tiffanys is sponsor of the Nike Women's Marathon, and each year they design a necklace for those who do the race. This year the necklace has a picture of two girls running on it. I have seen the necklaces from the last three years and this was the only year that had two girls on it instead of just one. We like to think it was for us. But if it really was for us, the girls would have been walking...
I actually trained and ran the race in 2006. It was Dave's first quarter of dental school and he was crazy busy. I couldn't run one mile when I heard about the race and I decided I wanted to train and run it. It was a great experience to train and run it with Kelly.
Dear Kelly,
Remember when we would run to the bridge and back at 6 am and watch the sun rise? Remember how we would pick up Dave from school on Wed nights then go to Union Square and run while Dave watched Audrey? Remember the Coldstone ice cream we would get after we ran? That was a great race. I miss you Kelly.

It really, really is the Happiest Place on Earth
Day 1
I felt like Audrey and I transcended the mother-daughter relationship and became best friends for those two blissful days. She was so excited about everything, which made me so excited about it all too. She couldn't believe she was actually at Cinderella's house, and whole experience was nothing short of magical.
We even got to hang out with Max for a bit!
Princess Land. Heavenly.
Does the slipper fit? Audrey probably has her mama's big feet genes. It will look more like it did on Anastasia and Drisella (the evil stepsisters for you unsavy Cinderella people).
My fabulous sister came to the hotel while the kids napped so Dave and I could go on some rides together. We headed over to California Adventure and went on some great rides there. Thanks Sara! After the kids woke up, it was back to the party!
Good 'ol goofy
The parade on the first night. Audrey loved watching all the princesses come by.
Aurora waving right at my Audrey! How exciting!
Day 2
Audrey loved wearing her Cinderella dress for two straight days (gross).
Oh Audrey, you are simply divine.
Audrey felt more comfortable the second day. The first day during the Coronation Ceremony, Audrey wouldn't even get out of her seat. On the second day however, we had a hard time keeping her off the stage.
That's my Audrey, front and center.
The princesses came off the stage to do the ribbon dance, and here is Audrey attacking Belle.
My sweet husband waited in line (three times, an hour each time) so Audrey could meet the princesses. Meanwhile Audrey and I went to princess story time and the Coronation Ceremony. By the third time through, the princesses knew her by name, which of course she (and we) loved. Yes, we were so those parents.
Hanging out in Minnie's house.
Cooling off a bit.
Proof that our angel baby was there. He was such a good boy. He slept (and sweated) in his stroller like a champion.
I love the candy corn! Notice the Golden Gate bridge in the background. I live there!
Inside California Adventure. I was obsessed that they had a replica of the Palace of Fine Arts. Again, I live there! I think I am obsessed with these things because I know our time here is limited and I am so sad about it.
Riding King Triton's carousel.
No naps for the kids on the second day. We wore them out all day long and after the parade, and knocking on Cinderella's door (the castle door) one last time, we loaded up our very own princess and prince and took them home so we could all live happily ever after.
