Ever since I took the photography class in the Mission district, I have been obsessed with the Mission. It is a part of San Francisco that I have never really explored. Our great friends Tyler and Joelle came up from Palo Alto and we had a, "Our mission, the Mission" dinner night. We had appetizers, dinner and dessert all at different places. It was a fun night, and since then, baby Ella was born!
Appetizers at Frjtz Fries. Fabulous ambiance.
Pizza dinner at Pizzeria Delfina. I don't usually love pizza, but I loved.this.stuff. We have gone back two more times since then. So, so, so good.
Dessert at Mitchells ice cream. Super long line, super fun people watching (check out the lady next to us), super yummy ice cream. Dave got baby coconut and I had peach and chocolate. There are so many flavors, it is hard to choose.
And then, just as I thought our experience in he Mission had been relatively calm, I see this:
A guy walking down the street wearing only flip flops and a beanie. The picture is blurry from me tyring to be sneaky and hurry and take a picture, and I thought my timing was perfect! His hand covers his unmentionables which makes the picture blog appropriate. He proceeds to walk into the "Hot Cookie" shop-very appropriate. He topped off our night perfectly.
Mission, completed.

hey - when are you coming and where are you living?
This post made me laugh. I love the mission, the vintage clothing stores, taco places, and people watching. Although your last picture is in the Castro...I've been in hot cookie before...and let me just say, they have some scandalous cookies there! Not to say you wouldn't see that in the mission...one time Brooke & I were walking down the street and a rat peeked out at us from a lady's tangled hair.
oh my goodness! Dallas will be sooo boring in comparison to nights like that. Yikes! (and, hilarious!!!)
Bwah ha ha I love the crazy naked man!
Hi...just thought I would relay what a small world this is. I occasionally check out your blog from my friend Kendra's blog because I stumbled on your blog when I recognized the last name. I lived at King Henry at the same time as Dave and was friends with he and his roommates. Today I saw this post about Joelle...who I lived with at the Avenues at BYU and happened to run into about a year ago in New York because I was living there in the same ward as her sister, Natalie. Too funny. Your kids are adorable! :)
