October 2014

Dave and I decided to finally do our bedroom.  We have never had a headboard, and our nightstand we bought from our wedding money at Target. We couldn't really decide on which color of grey we wanted… And I would post an "after" picture, but it's now March and it is still not done.  I have ADD. I'm not joking.

The Cystic Fibrosis Event to support sweet Hayden, my friend Alyssa's daughter.

Dave subbed for soccer.

We had our neighborhood party and flew kites,

And painted faces.

Fairy. Spiderman. Squared.
I have had this screen saver since our trip to CA when Audrey was baptized. August, 2013. I still have it too. I didn't mean to take a picture of it, but I'm glad I did.  The one before this was the one where I kissed Austin's cheek with red lipstick when he was probably 9 months old.  That's it, the only two screen savers I have ever had.

This picture is on the side of our fridge, but I want to have it in my blog book.  This was the weekend we got engaged, Feb 16, 2000. Dave surprised me and took me to CA to propose and that weekend Dave's family came to my family's home for dinner and meet each other.

I love this cell phone case.  It was the first one I ever owned, came to Thailand, but it clearly had seen better days and it was time for a new one.  I am so sentimental.

Pretty sky.

Enjoying conference.  Each kid got to pick out a bag of candy and a church word. Every time a speaker said the work, they all got a piece of that candy. Audrey's word was, "Jesus", Joshua's was "family", and Austin's was "blessings". The kids are at great ages, and we really enjoyed watching it together.

He sang along to "I Am A Child of God".  He melts my heart.  Austin loves to sing and is constantly doing so.

Katy Perry concert.  We didn't get home until 2 am, and my throat hurt from singing so loud, and my feet ached from dancing, but it was so worth it.

When Leslie came in September, she trained me on how to do eyelash extensions.  Here is Chrissy's.
Before.

After.

I love watching him sleep.

My sisters came for a Sisters Weekend.  We had so much fun being together, and I am so glad they are mine.

A huge storm rolled in, and Carrie loved it.  She is from the midwest and misses big storms.  She would fist bump and cheer every time there was a big lighting or thunder, which was often.  It was hilarious.  This picture doesn't quite capture her excitement, but it's all I have.

Going out to eat, it's what we do best.

Shopping at the hair store.  There is a lot of hair between us.

School is overrated.  Snuggling with aunties is much better.

Then Memor and Fafa came to visit! We feel so loved to have so many people come see us.

I spy with my little eye, two happy boys in a corn maze. #canyouseeAustie

Fall break! Instead of football and soccer games on a Saturday morning, we had breakfast tacos and went fishing.  We loved having Memor and Fafa here!

Memor and Fafa helped the kids put on a show.

My kids were blessed with amazing grandparents.  Lucky them, lucky me.

Fall break bowling with friends.

The result of Audrey's shoot.

Throw back Thursday to the time when Dave was in dental school and Audrey was our bread winner.

I love that I can still see her personality in these pictures.

During our sisters trip, my kids got to go to a really fun cowboy themed birthday party.

Happily singing/yelling.

My one red pepper from my garden!

Getting ready for Halloween with kits my parents sent us.

 Brothers.

They spent hours playing outback with the magnetic sand from Memor and Fafa.

My sweet grandpa, whom I adore, almost passed away.  I love this man so much and I'm so glad he is okay.

Our church starts at 8:00 am and is 27 minutes away. I cherish my Sunday naps. There was a knock on my door during my nap, and this is what I found. She even knows I don't like ice in my drink. The note says, "This is how I show my love for you! Enjoy! PS. Sorry for interrupting your nap, and be careful, the cookies might be hot!" Such a sweet girl.

Sweet girls.

Sunday "pick your mode of transportation" outing. #spreadeagle

 Sweet little friends.

I did a fashion show, and the jewelry we wore was so expensive that there was security guards there the whole time.  We had to check the jewelry in and out.

These earrings were $68,000.

Our friend hosted a really fun murder mystery party.
Boo.

Jess laughed so hard that she cried, smearing her makeup.  I think it just added to the dramatic effect.

 I was innocent.

Our family loves teeth.

We went to a really fun fall party.  It was perfect weather, the sky was so beautiful, we roasted smores, went on a hayride, did a chicken chase, tractor lifts, jump rope, gunny sack races, pony rides, ate donuts from a string, all with family and friends.  It was a perfect night!

A family that hays together, stays together. #heyhay

 Football game!

Baby Kensie's first bites of real food!

Second annual Murder Mystery Party. Once again, I was innocent.

Carving pumpkins.  I look terrible, but I'm wearing my freshman year of college shirt, which I think is pretty funny.

Kimmy's lashes.  It is so tedious to do, but I love the end result.  Too bad I'm allergic to the glue and can't have them anymore.  Boooooooo.

We tired to go to a pumpkin patch, but after lots of wrong turns and a super long line to get in, we ended up at the arcade.

We got home late that night, so Dave read scriptures to the kids instead of each of them reading. He imitated each of their voices (even mine) and the kids thought it was so funny.

I love how hard he can make them laugh.
I will miss seeing Lego guys all over the house someday.

Halloween! Ward party...

I brought "spider eggs" to our carpool kids, just like my mom used to.

Class party (I am Audrey's homeroom mom)...

Actual Halloween.  Matching ballerinas.

Austin changed costumes and was Russell Westbrook for actual Halloween.  Westbrook had just broken his hand, which is why Austin's hand is wrapped.  People got such a kick out of his costume.  They would make their spouse come to door to see him.

The loot. Austin was too spicy to come for this picture.

But he finally came.

Kensie having her first taste of sugar.
