In September Dave's sisters came to visit. We love it when the Aunties come visit! No trip is complete without a stop to get shaved ice...
playing at Chuck E. Cheese,
watching a little ballet,
shopping and then getting a "few" pounds of meat from Rudy's (thank you Leah for watching Joshua!),
and going to the hot air balloon festival.
Thank you for coming! Can't wait to see you again!

Lucky Norie
Audrey got an American Girl Doll from her Memor and Fafa for her 5th birthday. Audrey lovingly named her "Norie". When we went to Mexico in August, Audrey really wanted to bring Norie. We told her it was probably a better idea if Norie stayed home with Dave to keep him company. Audrey made Dave promise that he would take very good care of Norie. That Dave. He always keeps his promises. Every night in Mexico we would get an email from Dave with pictures showing Audrey how well he was taking care of Norie. I would laugh myself to tears when I saw the nightly pictures.
Norie watching Curious George
Norie checking the mail (Audrey's favorite thing to do)
Norie taking a nap in her special bed
Norie at the grocery store picking out a donut. I asked Dave if he felt creepy taking a picture of a doll in front of donuts and he said he felt way more creepy pushing Norie around in a shopping cart while he picked up a few groceries. It makes me laugh just picturing it.
Norie ordering at Sonic
It makes me laugh so hard that he would do this, and it also makes me love him that much more. He is one good Daddy.

Colorado
In September Dave and I were able to go to Colorado to visit a practice. It was a crazy busy weekend, but we had lots of fun and it was so nice to read a book on the airplane! Thank you Bruce and Marianne for coming to watch our kids!
I was able to hang out with some of our dental school friends (Reg, I need the rest of those pictures that Maggie took). Jocelyn, we look like we are getting married.
On September 11th we were able to go to the Air Force vs BYU game. It was a really neat experience to be at an Air Force game on Sept 11th. It was very patriotic. Everyone had flags and we all sang, "God Bless America".
Garden of the Gods. Dave and I look so dazed, but we kinda were. Busy weekend with not much sleep, but we had a great time.

First Day of School
August 30th, 2010. My baby girl started kindergarten.
This is her filling out her "All About Me" info sheet. I love her faces she makes when she is concentrating. She gets that from her Dad.
I was born on: August 10
My favorite color is: purple, blue, red, pink
I like to: study (something her daddy always has to do, so she thinks it must be fun), being with my family, I like my brother (I am not that mom who makes her say things like this...she comes up with this on her own)
My favorite book is: Along Came You
I am special because: I have a great family
And then her preschool picture, which I realize now I never blogged.
Eating breakfast on the big day. She is so excited to eat breakfast with her daddy. Dave knew I would be an emotional wreck so he pulled some serious strings so he could be home that morning.
Ready for the big day. Audrey called her friend Tatum on Tatum's first day of school, and then sweet Tatum called Audrey on her first day (a week later).
Saying goodbye. I wouldn't let Dave take a picture of me because I was such a mess. Audrey started a week later than everyone because of our trip to Mexico, and everyone thought I was that mom who was still bawling the second week of school. I kinda was.
Audrey and her teacher showing Audrey where to put all her things. Love the flags, and all the cute kids and the crazy things they are doing.
Doing the Pledge of Allegiance (wrong hand) and a moment of silence. Gotta love Texas!
It's a good thing I had these two to walk out with, or I might have just stayed right outside her door until the end of the day.

Tick Tock
I am due one month from today. Yikes. The countdown has begun. We bought a new car seat. We have a bassinet (thank you Megan!). I even bought some diapers. There are many things I want to get done before the baby is born. One of them is to catch up on my blogging. And...I have an announcement. Remember the name change shenanigan? Well, I spent all afternoon at the courthouse getting that all squared away (and paying big bucks). Joshua David is officially Joshua David. One big check off my to-do list. This item has been on my to-do list for the last two and a half years years. I feel much better.

Resolutions
Looking back at 2010, I was only able to keep one new years resolution...to make my kids laugh everyday. With this new baby coming in a month (yikes) I do not feel goal oriented at all. So my one and only resolution for 2011 will be the same.
Laughter, it really is the best medicine.

All Boy
Joshua's new obsession is the duster buster. He will spill things on purpose so he can clean them up using his new favorite toy. This day it was pistachios. Then he got the brilliant idea to suck the shells out of his mouth. So, so, so gross. But of course I had to take a picture before I stopped him.

After School Activity
One day after school, Audrey went into the garage and pulled out her two vanities that are being stored there and drug them out onto the driveway. One for her, and one for Joshua. Then she went inside and got snacks and drinks for them both. We sat on the driveway for over an hour while these two sweet kids played together. It was a fun after school activity.
It was pajama day at Audrey's school, and since Audrey got to wear her pajamas all day, Joshua wanted to as well.
