This is her filling out her "All About Me" info sheet. I love her faces she makes when she is concentrating. She gets that from her Dad.

Eating breakfast on the big day. She is so excited to eat breakfast with her daddy. Dave knew I would be an emotional wreck so he pulled some serious strings so he could be home that morning.
Ready for the big day. Audrey called her friend Tatum on Tatum's first day of school, and then sweet Tatum called Audrey on her first day (a week later).
Saying goodbye. I wouldn't let Dave take a picture of me because I was such a mess. Audrey started a week later than everyone because of our trip to Mexico, and everyone thought I was that mom who was still bawling the second week of school. I kinda was.

It's a good thing I had these two to walk out with, or I might have just stayed right outside her door until the end of the day.

We do the moment of silence here in CA, too, but I doubt it has such a poignant feeling as doing it in TX would.
PS I LOVE how tan your kids are. I'm sure it comes somewhat naturally, but my kids are in the sun year-round and they don't look half as tan as yours do. SO cute! :) Especially the contrast between Audry's skin and hair. Precious!
