Our first night there
Friday morning we went on a train ride, played at the park and looked for bugs.
With Colby's help the kids were able to catch a little frog. Joshua thought it was cool...
And then thought it was gross. And then cool again. Audrey never did touch it. Either did I.
These boys had so much fun. I think camping is every boy's dream. I am obsessed with these boys.
After the rest of the gang showed up Friday night we roasted hot dogs and smores.
Saturday we spent the morning canoeing. It was so much fun and the scenery was beautiful. We missed you H family! Only 2 kids could go in a canoe, and they have 3. And so will we very soon.
We got in the first canoe and started to paddle but there was a hole in the bottom and it started to leak. It pretty much traumatized Audrey because even when we got our new canoe, she thought we were going to sink in the water. Not even singing the Pocahontas song reassured her.
This picture pretty much sums up our canoe ride. I sat blissfully in my compression tights and enjoyed the ride while Dave did all the work.
I was not a very good navigator. It started to pour rain, the water was all murky so I couldn't see anything and somehow we ended up getting stuck on some rocks. Dave was quite the hero rescuing us.
That night it started to rain so our champion husbands built the fire in the rain and then cooked our tin foil dinners.
Dave, Me, Colby & Mandy...all about 26 weeks pregnant.Thank you husbands for gaining the empathy weight.
Nothing like a little hot tub after stinking like smoke and dirt!
After putting the kids to bed, the adults stayed up late and played games. But first the girls had to get even with our husbands after the shenanigans they pulled on us when we all went to the beach last summer. Our scheme included dumping ice cold water (the ice probably hurt, sorry) from the balcony onto our husbands who were in the hot tub below. Then locking them out and thinking we were hilarious when we tried to spray them with the hose when they tried to get inside the cabin. Now we are even.
The Great Dalmuti. There was lightning and thunder outside which made it even more cozy in our little cabin.
Chris has a thing for his neck...he hates it being touched. He feel asleep on the couch around 2 am and we were dying laughing as Megan tried to touch his neck while he slept. Good times.
Sunday morning breakfast...eggs, sausage, pancakes, buttermilk syrup, orange juice, hot chocolate...yum.
After we packed and cleaned up, we took the girls on a little hike through the forest.
Megan teaching them about a very special thing that happened in a grove of trees to a young boy named Joseph Smith.
Before putting everyone back in the car for the drive home, we all went on a walk together. This is when Audrey lost her first tooth.
Cute Megan brought crafts for the kids to do. Painting rocks and making leather bracelets, perfect camping crafts.
Friends
These girls. Don't know what I would do without them. Actually I do...I would go crazy.
The whole gang, all 13 of us and 2 growing babies.

Did people think that you were Mandi's sister wife before Dave came? Ha! I love it...
You look great. I wish I would see you now. My heart hurts. :(
