Love Notes

One Sunday during Sacrament meeting, Audrey made Dave and I these notes. It wasn't Mother's Day or Father's Day, but it might as well have been. Things like this make all the craziness worth it.

Dear Daddy, I love you more than cool root beer because you are my Dad and I love you so.  Happy Fathers Day.

Dear Mommy,
I love you more than anything I love. I spell love M-O-M-M-Y. Happy mothers day

Easter 2012

Obligatory Easter picture outside of church, in the super bright sun, making awkward faces. Check.

Dinner with our great friends Mike & Leslie. Check.
We moved two days later, so Easter was super low key.  But not to worry, the Easter bunny came and left some cash for our trip to Disneyland.  One less thing to pack.  Smart bunny.

Audrey's School Performance

For two million dollars I couldn't tell you what song she is singing in this picture. But it was cute.

Keeping him occupied.  What did we do before cell phones? Mom?

Thank goodness GrandD was in town.  ColdStone every day! Thanks Mom for coming to help pack, and for allll the ice cream!

Mike & Leslie

We first met Mike, Leslie and Ashlyn when we went to interview for the job in CO. They were so fun, and I hoped we got the job so we could be friends. They are so fun to be with. They have sweet little Ashlyn and they know and appreciate how mobile they are. They would come over and put Ashyln to bed at our house, and then stay late and play games and eat junk food until our teeth were fuzzy.
Austin and Ashlyn had so much fun together. We miss you friends!!!

Their favorite little hide out spot.

Audrey's School Award

Audrey won an award in her first grade class in CO. The teacher chose four students from each class to receive an award, and Audrey won the "Always Safe" award, meaning she makes good choices on the playground, follows the rules, and is a good example to those around her. I hope she gets this award when she is 16.
They called her up and she got to run in-between all the students and give them high fives. Probably her favorite part. Very "Price Is Right".

Dave was even able to come.  Joshua had had enough.  Thank you Leslie for watching Austin so I only had one wiggly boy.

Four Year Check Up

Joshua's four year check up.
43.5 inches tall (93%)
43.6 pounds (also 93%-which is odd because he feels so skinny to me)
Perfect boy.

The Next Generation of College Roommates

It was so fun living close to Jayme in Colorado. Our kids had so much fun together and I loved our weekly outings.
Some science place.

Our weekly IKEA trip.  This picture basically sums it up: chaos. Stacking chairs, other people staring at us, but we did not care.  We were in the middle of some awesome conversation, and the kids were having fun.  Win win situation.

After lunch, off to the toys.

14 years later and three kids each.  And we can still laugh until we cry when we are together.  Just like we did when we were freshman in college.  Here's to hoping our kids will be roommates!

Baby Ty's Blessing

My only brother and his wife, Carrie, had their first baby in December.  And he is cute.  And loved.  I don't like to miss a party (as Carrie calls it, "FOMO-Fear Of Missing Out") so I flew out for the baby blessing in March.  I flew into San Francisco, and my sissies picked me up and we spent the day together in San Francisco.  We missed you Jess, but going on a humanitarian dental trip to the Dominican Republic is pretty awesome.

Sisters on Chestnut St.

The harbor.

We were all raised by a woman who loves to walk.  And we all love to walk. And walk we did.  We started walking and just kept going. We ended up by the Golden Gate Bridge, and finally the pregnant lady (with TWINS!!) had to take a little break.
We had to walk back to the car once it started to rain, and we didn't want to waste our shopping moolah on a cab, so we did what any reasonable woman would do. We walked, in the rain.  But not before stopping and getting bags to cover our hair.  It takes too long to control that frizz, and we didn't want it getting messed up.
Stopping by the Palace of Fine Arts. I used to live 3 blocks from here and would walk here all the time for our ward park days, or just to get out of the house.

That night, Sara, Melissa & I went to dinner.  Great food, great entertainment, and we had a blast dancing the night away (at 7:00 pm), and being done at 10 pm.  We are getting old.

Andrew gave Ty a beautiful blessing and it was so sweet to hear my brother bless his sweet son.

It was a great 36 hour trip!

Catching Up

We've moved. Again. Life has been really crazy, and really fun. We spent three weeks in California visiting family, and are now finally settled in our new home. It's time to play catch up.

March 4. It was beautiful weather and the kids loved playing outside. These pictures were only 2.5 months ago, but it feels like a million years ago.
No, I am not going to have another baby.  This story was about Austin.  Just wanted to clarify.
One day my wonderful Mom was going to have a baby.  I had a feeling that it was a girl but it was not. But when he grew up he was so cute and his name was Austin and I love him so much.

Fun day at the park.  Audrey loves to push Austin on the swing, and I love to listen to him laugh.

Matchy Matcherson

I love when my kids have matching clothes. I feel like I'm in third grade. I love these matching football sweatshirts that used to be my nephews that got passed onto my boys. Both of my boys are too big for them now, but I had to have them wear them one more time.

February's Instagrams

Thank you instagram for another month of remembering the little things.

Two headed monster

Audrey's first horseback riding lesson.  Joshua wanted to do everything too.

Goodbye sunshine.  Time for snow!

School has been cancelled.  Dave has the day off.  Thanks Mother Nature for a snow day!

Nothing like a little jumping in your living room.

Thanks for coming to visit Memor and Fafa! We had a great time riding horses, eating lots, celebrating birthdays and the root canal! Come again soon!

One of thooooose days...

Little boys...lots of holes in the knees of their pants.  I feel so domesticated that I "mended" them!

Austin's two favorite things to do: 1) wear Joshua's hat 2) "help" with the dishes

Dumpster diving for a little afternoon snack

The result of dumpster diving...a ring of food from the jar around his little mouth

He's no dummy.

My boys stuck in the car eating who knows what while I shoveled the snow off my driveway.  Our poor swagger wagon couldn't make it up to the garage without a good shoveling first.

Going up: mastered.  Going down: not at all

Found this little man of the bottom of my washing machine.  It makes me smile thinking of Joshua putting it in his pocket, and then forgetting about it.

"J is for Joshua." And joy.  This boy makes me so happy.

Book worm.
